Oratory Contest
As students contemplate and express their beliefs, they are changed, strengthened, and prepared to share God’s truth with others.
The Oratory Contest is open to high school juniors and seniors. Public, private, and homeschooled students residing in Texas are eligible to compete.
Contestants are required to research, write, and compose an original pro-life speech on abortion, infanticide, or euthanasia. This year, rather than a live competition, contestants will submit a video of their speech. Speeches should be five to seven minutes in length. Submit questions to oratorycontest@lifefirst.org.
1st Place- $1,000
2nd Place- $500
3rd Place- $250
In addition to the individual awards to winning students, LifeFirst will supply a gift card to classroom teacher/adult group leaders if three or more students in a class/group participate in one of our contests. The gift cards are to host a classroom party at the conclusion of the contest. Through the classroom parties even students that did not participate directly in the contest can be drawn into the discussion of the value of life.
